Anupreet Bhui is a postgraduate researcher in the philosophy and ethics of Al at the University of York. Her research examines Al systems that do not simply represent social phenomena but actively constitute them, asking what grounds we have for evaluating their authority and on what basis that authority can be assessed. She came to these questions through two decades of working inside large-scale socio-technical systems, and is now pursuing them as philosophical problems with implications for Al trustworthiness, epistemic justice, and governance.
